WanderLost is more than a name—it’s a way of moving through the world.
It’s about getting a little lost on purpose, trusting your instincts, and discovering parts of yourself you didn’t know were waiting to be found.
For most of my life, I followed a path that didn’t feel like my own. I was taught what to believe, who to be, and how to think. It took me a long time to realize how much of myself had been shaped by expectations that weren’t mine.
Travel began changing that.
What started as a simple desire to get away became something much deeper. It became a way back to myself.
I don’t travel to check boxes or sit on beaches (although I’ll never say no to a good view!).
I travel to understand.
To experience.
To learn.
Travel, for me, is education in motion. It’s stepping into history instead of just reading about it. It’s seeing how other people live, think, and exist in the world—and letting that reshape how I see and live my own.
In a life where I’ve often felt directionless, travel has given me something steady. Something to be passionate about. Something that’s mine.
Solo travel is where everything shifted.
It was the first time I experienced true autonomy—every decision, big or small, entirely my own. No expectations. No roles. No one else to please.
And in that space, something unexpected happened.
When no one is watching, you stop performing. You stop curating who you are.
You just… are.
Solo travel gave me the space to meet myself without all the noise—and I realized I liked that version of me far more than the one I had been trying to be.
Some of my most meaningful trips have been with my daughter.
Travel has given us a chance to find our way back to each other in ways that everyday life doesn’t always allow. Away from routines and distractions, we get to simply be together—exploring, learning, and creating memories together.
But it hasn’t always been easy.
There have been moments where we’ve fought, where we’ve cried, where we’ve both quietly wondered why we thought this was a good idea. Travel has a way of stripping everything down—it leaves very little room to hide from each other or from ourselves.
And somehow, even those hard moments have become part of our story.
Because underneath it all, there’s love. There’s a willingness to keep showing up for each other, even when it’s messy. Especially when it’s messy.
Those trips aren’t perfect—but they’re real. And they’ve brought us closer in ways I never expected.
WanderLost is a collection of stories, reflections, and moments from the places I've wandered to.
